Incase anyone is wondering this is a very traditional Irish sound- if you came to Ireland and sat in on a trad session in a pub it would sound something like this. The choice of tunes and tonality are both very traditionally Irish. One of my fav tracks out there :) Take a listen, enjoy!

Dear, Irish dancers on tumblr…..YOU ALL NEED TO WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW!!! I promise it will be the most amazing Irish dancing you’ll ever see. The two guys are world champion dancers and have formed a group called TapTronic, please, please watch and share! I’m so proud to be Irish! It’s so fantastic to see two guys doing something they love and are obviously passionate about. It’s so inspiring and innovative!!

Irish dancing is a sport. The dancers work so incredibly hard to master these beautiful leaps and steps. Watch these leaps in slow motion it’s amazing!!
So I was in starbucks today and ordered a coffee…I glanced at the items they were selling on the counter and guess what was there…THE CHEIFTANS’ NEW ALBUM!! I was so excited and rambled on to the guy behind the counter about how much I loved them and how long I’ve been waiting for it to come out and I ran out of the shop clutching my CD…then he called me back and informed me I had forgotten my coffee in the excitement! Ha! Now I’m off to go listen to my new CD yay!!! :D
