THE RAMBLINGS OF A 21 YEAR OLD IRISH GIRL CALLED MOLLIE... I HATE APPLE PIE.
JUST B-E-E YOURSELF...

IRISH. TEA. CHOCOLATE. BOOKS. MUSIC. PARTYING. ART. MY VIOLIN.

I set this up this blog mainly to have a place to ramble and muse. So, have a look around, follow me if you want, I mostly follow back! And I promise to keep you in the loop with my, ahem, interesting life.

If you want to know more, feel free to ask away! Or check out my 'About Me' page.

Oh, and above is a picture of me. Just incase you thought I was an old tea-drinking woman who sits at home with a dozen cats. I’m swear I’m not. Yet.
Em-Bee

Another one of my favourites; it’s Gréasaí Bróg sung by Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. Enjoy!

Dún do Shúil’ (Close Your Eyes) is an Irish Gaelic lullaby first recorded by Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh with her band Altan on their ‘Local Ground’ album. Since then, it has been specially re-recorded for this stunning animation, telling the story of the song. It was produced by Léirithe Sónta, who have created a beautiful series of videos featuring Ireland’s best traditional singers for TG4.

This is one of my favourite songs and animations they did in the series; so beautiful. Enjoy! :)

Ó Cad é Sin an Té Sin sung by Maighread & Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, made by TG4, Lovely little animation on the song too. Enjoy! :)

Óró, Sé Do Bheatha ‘Bhaile - Paul Brady singing. Do ye remember learning this at school? It’s a pretty famous Irish song, it’s a lovely version by the talented Paul Brady. The animation is superb too; very celtic feel to it. Enjoy! :)

‘Si do mhaimeo’ a lovely version by Róisín Elsafty and Damien Dempsey. It’s in Irish, take a listen it’s a lovely piece. TG4 put an interesting animation to the song also. Enjoy!

Heaven for me, would be these guys playing on repeat…Brian Finnegan (low whistle) and Ed Boyd Burwell (guitar)

YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS IF YOU LOVE IRISH MUSIC!! Brian finnegan & his band. It’s amazing. (Plus you get to here Brian talking at the start with his lovely Northern Irish accent) First tune is called Road to Errogie and at around 5.50 John Joe Kelly (the GOD of bodhran playing) does the most mind blowing solo! Have a listen, it will blow your mind!!
