The Bothy Band.
If you don’t know who these guys are I’m going to assume you’ve been living under a rock for your whole life!
Sit back and enjoy some good Irish music! :)
Music speaks where words fail…
Too much practice is never enough…
The Coronas- ‘Listen Dear’
The Irish rock band The Coronas are amazing! If you like rock/indie/alternative music take a listen you might like these guys :)
The Delorentos- ‘S.E.C.R.E.T’
The Delorentos are a Dublin-based alternative rock band. If you like good music, take a listen to this catchy little number, these guys are amazing!
Have a listen, I promise you wont regret it :)
To those who think Irish people ain’t got rhythm…I give you…JOHN JOE KELLY (from Flook) And to those who think the bodhran is an easy instrument to play well, take a listen to John and I’m sure he’ll change your mind.
Skip to 2.40 for the bodhran solo! And just be amazed at the intricate rhythm and pitch patterns. Who said we need computerised drum machines? This man is better than any computerised drum machine, amazing stuff!!
He is unbelievable. Sorry for poor video/sound quality, you can still appreciate his amazing talent though! :)
Arty McGlynn, Nollaig Casey & Christy Moore
Tune: Cottage in the Grove.
Incase anyone is wondering this is a very traditional Irish sound- if you came to Ireland and sat in on a trad session in a pub it would sound something like this. The choice of tunes and tonality are both very traditionally Irish. One of my fav tracks out there :) Take a listen, enjoy!
The fantastic Matt Molloy & The Cheiftains.
Tune- ‘The Mason’s Apron’
Listen to at least 1.10 this is where you will have an eargasam because the Matt Molloy is a GOD with the flute. This blows my mind every time. His talent is incomprehensible. There’s no backing tracks, no autotune, just pure talent and musical prowess.
Mad for Trad <3
Irish dance flash mob.
It’s great to see older lads still doing Irish dancing! The music they’re dancing to is by Afro-Celt Sound System. If any dancers are looking for some new music to dance to then check them out they have some really cool music.
Flook playing their track called ‘Natterjacker’
They’re one of my favourite Traditional Irish music bands. They’re so fresh and innovative. Take a listen and experience real Irish music :)
